Our STEM in school field trips allow students to travel through 5 engaging standards based learning stations without leaving the school.
Students perform hands-on STEM experiments which fully support state and national science performance standards.
We bring our portable labs to you: Featuring our Mini Lab!
All of our in school field trip science lessons help engage students in observation, measurement, identification of properties and experimentation involving life, earth, and physical science concepts. Through a combination of learning stations and hands-on make and take projects, students are exposed to the following process skills: observing, clssifying, comparing, measuring, critical thinking, predicting, hypothesizing, sequencing, and experimentation.
Details and Pricing
- All supplies, materials, lesson plans, and instructors are provided.
- We have integrated the Our programs are designed to meet current Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and the National New Generation Science Standards into our curriculum offerings.
- Labs will last for 90 minutes depending on the school's schedule. Kindegarten programs are 60 minutes long.
- Each class is typically seen individually (33 maximum student count), up to 3 classes per day. Science labs can be presented in the classroom, cafeteria, media center or gym.
- Depending on the number of classes per grade, we can come for one or several days.
- The cost of the program is $15 per student for Elementary Schools and $18 per student for Middle Schools.
- Title I schools are entitled to a discount of $.50 per student.
- There is a minimum of 50 students per in-school field trip. If there are less than 50 students, then the minimum fee is $750 for Elementary Schools and $900 for Middle Schools.
Program Structure
Club SciKidz can present 3-90 minute sessions per day for grades 1-8. Kindergarten programs are 60 minutes long.
A typical schedule might look like:
- 8:15am- 9:45am
- 10:00am-11:30am
- 12:15pm-1:45pm
Students will travel through 5 learning stations during the field trip which will include subject content, make and take projects and a fun take home project or experiment.- Reservations are required at least three weeks in advance of the field trip and must be accompanied with a 50% deposit. If necessary, please ask for an invoice in advance. The balance of the fee is due the day of the field trip. Please call to discuss any special circumstances regarding payment.
- Payments can be made on our registration system(credit, debit, or check), or by mailing us a check.
What we need from you
- Number of classes and each class size
- Dates requested.
- A schedule for three 90 minute sessions.
Travel fees are required to locations outside our service area and a supply surcharge will apply to certain programs (e.g. dissection labs)
